Shimadzu – The new AGX-V2 universal testing machine
Shimadzu has been manufacturing materials testing machines for over 100 years.
The AGX-V2 is the latest and most advanced model.
New: Version 2 of the AGX-V is now also available in versions with:
→ Free-standing controller (separate control device model)
→ Widened test space (wide test space model)
→ Reinforced, upper fixed crosshead
→ “Operation Controller”, for operation without PC and software.
Areas of application and properties
AGX-V universal testing machines are used in research and development, but also in quality control and in production laboratories.
All models with bidirectional XV-Talk™ voice control and the ability to control an optional thermal chamber. They have an extremely high frame rigidity and can be equipped with up to 20 input channels. The data acquisition rate ranges up to 10kHz.
A free-standing controller is useful if there is a lot of dust in the test rig that should not get into the electronics. Carbon fibres in CFRP tests in particular can lead to a short circuit in the electronics. We can recommend this special model for such applications.
Some customers want to test larger components or use a particularly wide test fixture, for example with the use of a wide thermal chamber. Then a wide version of the AGX-V is a good choice.
Do you have reasons in favour of two test rooms? For example, a complex test setup for compression and tensile tests? Then the model with an upper and lower test chamber may be suitable.
Or maybe you just want to carry out routine tests with the same setup and without analysing the results too much. Do you like the simple control of the testing machine from a practical control panel without a PC and software? Then ask for the model with the Operation Controller!
