Epsilon Extensometer - Strain measuring devices for rock, concrete and asphalt
Strain measuring devices for rock, concrete and asphalt
Properties
Model 3542RA
Averaging Axial Extensometers for Large Compression Specimens – Model 3542RA
This model was developed primarily for compressive strength tests on rock, concrete and other large compression specimens. It measures the axial strain on the opposite sides of the specimen and the output is an average of the two readings. Measuring lengths from 25 to 200 mm and measuring ranges from 1.2 to 6 mm are available.
Model 3442RA1
Axial extensometer with averaging in miniature format
With measuring lengths of 25 and 50 mm and measuring ranges of 1.2 and 2.5 mm, the Model 3442RA1 is designed for applications requiring tensile or compressive strength testing on small rock, concrete and other small compression specimens.
Model 3544
Circumferential extensometers
Designed for compression testing of concrete and rock or for compression testing of other large specimens. This model can be used simultaneously with the axial extensometer model 3542RA.
Model 3909
Extensometer for simple strength tests of asphalt
Designed for the measurement of axial displacements in the simple strength tests prescribed in NCHRP Report 465 and the determination of the dynamic modulus of hot mix asphalt in accordance with AASHTO TP062.
Model 3910
Extensometer for testing the compliance and tensile strength of asphalt
Designed for asphalt core testing with core samples of 100 and 150 mm diameter. The device meets the requirements for strain measurement test methods developed under the US Federal Highways SHRP programme.
Model 3911
Extensometer for indirect tensile testing of asphalt
Designed to meet many of the requirements for testing 100mm and 150mm diameter asphalt core samples. It meets the requirements for strain measurement test methods developed under the US Federal Highways SHRP programme.
Model 3975
Diametral extensometers for rock and concrete testing
Designed for accurate measurement of small diametrical strains required to determine Poisson’s ratio of rock, concrete and asphalt samples. The units are intended for use in conjunction with the Model 3542RA Axial Averaging Extensometer.
