Epsilon - Axial extensometers

The contact extensometers for static and fatigue tests

Properties

Model 3542

General purpose extensometer with strain gauges for axial tensile, compression and cyclic tests. Measuring lengths from 20 to 80 mm and measuring ranges from 5% to 100% elongation.

Model 3442 (miniature)

Due to their small profile and low weight, these devices are suitable for testing small and sensitive samples and yet are robust enough for daily use with standard samples. Ideal for strain measurement on wire specimens, sheet materials and standard specimen geometries according to ASTM or ISO. Excellent for low and high cycle fatigue testing.

Model 3542L (extensometer with long measuring distance)

Extensometers with long measuring length with measuring lengths of 100 mm or more for tensile and compression tests. These devices are suitable for applications with long measuring lengths where strain measurements at a low level, such as offset stretch, are required.

Model 3543 (Robust transducer)

Extensometers with long measuring length with measuring lengths of 100 mm or more for tensile and compression tests. These devices are suitable for applications with long measuring lengths where strain measurements at a low level, such as offset stretch, are required.

Model 3442AVG (averaging extensometer)

This universally applicable, averaging axial extensometer is used in tension or compression to measure the modulus of elasticity, the offset yield strength and the elongation at break. It is compact and lightweight. The length of the measuring device is set automatically to enable rapid sample mounting.

Model 3800 (high strain extensometer)

Developed for testing rubber, elastomers and plastics with high elongation for elongations of 100%-2000%. Its unique design enables testing to failure and minimises interaction with the sample.

Strain measurement for materials testing

World’s largest extensometer manufacturer. Over 35 models cover virtually every materials testing application.

The combination of years of experience and rugged construction ensures that Epsilon’s extensometers exceed your expectations for performance in nearly any test system controls.

Broadest product line anywhere. Models for tiny and delicate samples, including relatively fine wire, up to massive metal samples and large rock cores.
