G.N.R. – AreX D X-ray diffractometer

The AreX D X-ray diffractometer is a compact and affordable benchtop device for use in production-related QA laboratories.

It is particularly suitable for the fast, accurate and simple determination of retained austenite in steel. It is able to determine the austenite volume fraction up to 1%.

Desktop analyser for retained austenite

Phase transformation in critical and structural steel components is a very sensitive and important parameter to evaluate, as the mechanical and physical properties of steels depend on the phase composition. In many industrial processes, the determination of retained austenite is carried out at very low concentrations and with great accuracy.

Properties

AreX D is the first benchtop X-ray diffractometer designed for the fast, accurate and simple determination of retained austenite in accordance with ASTM E 975-13 Standard Methods for the X-ray determination of retained austenite in steel with near random crystallographic orientation. It is able to determine the austenite volume fraction up to 1% in just a few minutes.

Applications: Gear wheels, gear shafts, camshafts, ball bearings, drilling and milling tools, implants, screws and nuts, etc.
