The entire series is compatible with ISO6507-1, -2.
(Test force: 9.807 mN (HV0.001) to 1.61 N (HV2))

Micro hardness testers with manual measurement of the indentation are still available.

General features of the HMV-G micro hardness tester

Shimadzu’s Micro Vickers hardness testers are equipped with excellent automatic reading functions and visually clear, convenient software. In addition, an extensive range of options is available to fulfil a variety of requirements.

Specific properties of the HMV-G micro hardness tester

Series HMV-G31
Standardised automatic length measurement function using a digital camera built into a new type of G-frame. The G31 model can be optionally equipped with an XY table and electric micrometers.
The devices in this series are available in a version with an additional colour camera, e.g. for microscopic examinations.
Series HMV-G31-FA
In addition to the functionality of the -G31 devices, the -FA model enables highly efficient, fully automatic measurements with the electric XYZ table and special software.
Automatic detection of the entire sample image and the sample edges.
The devices in this series are available in a version with an additional colour camera, e.g. for microscopic examinations.
Series HMV-G30
Switch on – Measure. This device does without a camera, PC and software. The measurement is carried out via the eyepiece and the manual measurement of the diagonals by means of superimposed bars. The conversion to the hardness values takes place automatically.
