Retrofit universal testing machines with Shimadzu components

Since TeMeCo was founded, we have been modernising universal testing machines and fatigue testing machines from a wide range of manufacturers. Which components are replaced always depends on the condition of the existing equipment and the requirements of the future testing tasks. Each retrofit solution is therefore planned on a case-by-case basis.

With the high-performance Shimadzu servo drive, the AGX-V controller, the state-of-the-art operating panel and the Trapezium X-V operating software, we now have a retrofit concept that is suitable for most electromechanical universal testing machines. The modernisation is usually carried out directly at the customer’s premises – there is generally no need for the machine to be transported to our workshop, which would be a complex process.

A key advantage of a retrofit is that existing test frames, clamping fixtures, force transducers and other accessories can often be reused. This reduces investment costs whilst allowing modern operating and control technology to be integrated. The new Trapezium X-V software also offers a modern user interface, user-friendly test sequences and straightforward analysis and documentation of measurement results.

Of course, modernisation also involves investment. That is why we work closely with our customers to carefully assess whether a retrofit makes more economic sense than purchasing a new machine. In doing so, we take into account both the condition of the existing machine and future requirements. However, it is not uncommon to find that a new Shimadzu universal testing machine is the better solution thanks to its attractive value for money.
