Screw grips are universal grips used for static tensile testing of a wide range of materials, primarily rubber, plastics, textiles and paper, as well as specimens such as plates and wires. Another advantage of these fixtures is that they can be used for testing thick samples up to 16 mm.
There are two types of screw grips: standard and stainless steel. The standard models have an operating temperature range of -70 to 250°C, while the stainless steel models can operate in an extended temperature range of -70 to 320°C.
Clamping jaws with file teeth on one side are standard on clamping heads with a load capacity of 1 kN and 5 kN, while clamping heads with a load capacity of 50 N have flat clamping surfaces. Additional options for the clamping jaws include wave-shaped, rubber-coated clamping surfaces, high-strength rubber-coated clamping surfaces and clamping jaws with line contact.
