Instruments and consumables
To obtain a highly reflective surface that is free of scratches and deformations, the samples must be carefully ground and polished before they can be examined under the microscope. Metkon offers high-quality instruments and consumables to achieve this goal.
Modular units
The FORCIPOL series of grinding and polishing machines offer practical and economical solutions to your metallographic specimen preparation needs.
The units of the FORCIPOL series are available as single-disk (FORCIPOL 102) and dual-disk units (FORCIPOL 202).
If only manual preparation is required, the FORCIPOL control unit can be mounted on the FORCIPOL grinding/polishing machine. If automatic operation is desired in the future, one of the FORCIMAT automatic heads can be installed at any time.
Optional peristaltic DOSIMAT liquid dispensers are available to increase automation capability.
Both the single and double disk versions are suitable with Ø200, Ø250 and Ø300 mm disks.
It is the perfect choice for laboratories preparing a wide range of different materials from very small to very large.

Advanced units
ACCURA 102 is an advanced high-end grinding and polishing system that features a robust design on two columns for applications requiring extremely flat specimen surfaces. Suitable for Ø250 and Ø300 mm applications. Motorised positioning of the head in vertical (Z) and horizontal (X) axis with memory function. Precise control of the applied force. Combined with optional grinding depth measuring system. Possibility to store and recall preparation programmes on the LCD screen. Efficient control of the consumption of consumables through the optionally integrated peristaltic dosing unit. Transparent cover for more safety and a better working area.

ACCURA 102
Semi-automatic system
FORCIPOL 352 is designed for grinding and polishing very large specimens or a large number of specimens in specimen holders. It reduces the overall preparation time for a high sample throughput.
Specimen holders with a diameter of up to 210 mm and 10 specimens can be processed simultaneously with grinding disks of 350 mm diameter.

Fully automated system
The fully automatic, programmable VELOX 102 grinding/polishing system is designed for unattended sample preparation at high sample throughput, from plane grinding to fine grinding/polishing/cleaning and drying. All you need to do is place the sample holders in the automatic feeding system, select the programme number for your specific application and press the “Start” button. That’s it! Your samples are prepared fully automatically for analysis. Possibility to queue up to 6 sample holders during operation to allow continuous sample preparation.
