COP3000
Central unit control with pump management
COP 3000 is a centralised control unit for managing the hydraulic supply of up to 8 power packs.
Features of COP3000:
- Between 2 and 8 units can be connected.
- Simatic S7-200 series and graphics-capable Simatic OP77 from Siemens for communication with the operator.
- The terminals can be up to 200 metres away from the COP 3000 control cabinet.
- Management of the emergency shutdown for the connected units.
The switch cabinet contains a safety switching device (usually a PILZ product) that can safely switch off the connected devices in an emergency. - The EMERGENCY STOP buttons can be used at various points for emergency shutdown.
- External fault messages can also be connected. E.g. fire alarm that can switch off all devices.
The use of COP3000 means:
- Saving electrical energy
- No current peaks due to successive switching on of the devices
- Minimisation of device wear and tear
- Even wear of the pumps
- Flexibility
- Simple operation
With the COP 3000 - central appliance control - the connected appliances can be operated in the following operating modes:
- MANUAL
The individual units are switched on or off with a command. - LAST
The individual units are automatically switched on or off according to the actual load, i.e. according to the current oil consumption, so that the current oil consumption is covered with a certain reserve. - DEMAND
Before the test, the operator must calculate or estimate the intended oil consumption and enter this into the system. The individual units are then automatically operated in such a way that this requirement, the intended oil consumption, is reliably covered. - MANIFOLD (optional).
A specific oil consumption is assigned to the individual connection blocks. The oil consumption is calculated from the number of connection blocks switched on. The units are automatically switched on or off so that the oil consumption is covered.
Hydraulic power units:
- Power packs generate hydraulic pressure from electricity and supply the required amount of oil to the connected test systems
- HU (“Hydraulic Unit”) are the models from Inova. They are available in various sizes.
- Pressure is generated by pressure-controlled radial piston pumps. The flow rate is adjusted according to the actual demand.
- The electric controller can be used in stand-alone mode or remotely controlled by the COP 3000.
