Presentation of the melt flow index testers
At this year’s FAKUMA in Friedrichshafen, Göttfert, with the support of TeMeCo Services AG, presented several of its latest melt index testers, attracting the interest of numerous visitors. The focus was particularly on the new mi1 melt flow index tester, which is characterised by its ease of use and cost efficiency. It enables precise MFR and MVR measurements in accordance with ISO 1133 and ASTM D1238 (methods A, B and C). Companies that only carry out occasional measurements are grateful that Göttfert offers the mi1, a robust and affordable device that is known for its durability.
In addition, the mi2 was exhibited in the mi2.2 version, which was specially developed for customers who still prefer a touch panel directly on the device and are less comfortable with touch panel emulation via the VNC viewer. The mi2.2 also offers the advanced servo-electric weight lifting function, which makes operation even more convenient and precise.
Another highlight was the mi40-visco, Göttfert’s showpiece, which impresses with the highest degree of automation. Thanks to the ‘visco’ add-on, viscosity tests can now also be carried out with the MFI tester in accordance with ISO 11443.
The response to the devices presented was consistently positive. Both TeMeCo and Göttfert were able to make numerous new contacts, which give hope for a promising co-operation.

GÖTTFERT Werkstoff-Prüfmaschinen GmbH was founded in 1962 by Prof. Dr. Otto Göttfert. In the second generation, his son Dr Axel Göttfert took over as sole managing director.
